Halloween parade

Bring your friends and family to Galena’s most spooktacular event of the Halloween season, the 37th annual Galena Halloween parade.

New this year, the parade will begin on the corner of Main and Franklin streets at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Oct 31. Watch in amazement as people dressed in elaborate costumes parade down Main Street toward the floodgates with the glow of hot air balloons illuminating the street. Unique and spectacular floats and local marching bands will accompany them.

Before the parade, make sure to stop by the Halloween Festival beginning at 2 pm on both Washington and Perry streets. The festival will have food and drinks and last up until the parade.

To accommodate the high volume of parade goers, there will be three shuttle services operating between 4:30 and 9, excluding parade times between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Shuttle parking and pickup will be at Walmart and Galena High School parking lots.

At 5:15 pm, Water Street between Green and Warren will be closed to allow for parade line-up.
